Just about to book for November - Periwinkle on STJ. Anything I should know from people who've stayed there in the past or who live on island?

Any input is appreciated - got me a skeptical spouse (to-be) and want to be able to reassure him.

Thanks!

OK, so now I'm confused. It appears there are 2 Villas with the same name - one outside Cruz Bay and one outside Coral Bay...

Does anyone have info on either of them?

Thanks again!

HI, we just got back from honeymooning there!!!!! Didn't know there was one near Coral Bay, ours was outside Cruz Bay. Anyway, we loved it. It is very cute, perched up on a hill overlooking the bay in front of the Westin Resort which is right below you. Nice flowers around the house, beautiful view and sunset. Basically the house is open concept, living room kitchen and dining area with high ceilings, then stairs leading up to a loft with 2 twin beds and some seating. The bedroom downstairs has a double bed and a bathroom. We found the place to be very clean, and the management at Caribbeanvillas to be VERY helpful. Told us to call them with ANY questions or concerns. Theres a very nice deck that covers the front of the house and wraps around the sides. On the side of the deck there is a nice hot tub. There are laundry facilities downstairs under the house. We had an absolutely wonderful time, it was our first time on St. John and found the island to be amazing. I loved the location of the house because it was very convenient to grocery shopping and Cruz Bay as well as all the nearby beaches. There are villas near to you but the house is situated so that the deck and hot tub area are very private. What exactly is your spouse-to-be worried about? My advice to anyone going somewhere new is to just keep an open mind. We went without expectation and our entire honeymoon ended up being much more than we ever imagined it would be. What's neat is that there is a little guest book on the coffee table that each guest who stayed there has written in. It was an excellent reference for what to visit, what not to visit, etc... Judging from the comments in that book it seems almost everyone who stayed at the Periwinkle loved it and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the sunsets from the deck, and the view of the stars from there is amazing as well.

Thanks for the review! I'll make sure to pass along the info. He's just a skeptic in general about things. Wanted to make sure that it was as nice as the pictures looked online. Seemed like it was the perfect place for us from the descriptions I read, and after hearing what you have to say, I'm even more convinced.

Eternal grattitude to you, and many blessings on your marriage. If you wouldn't mind sharing, do you have any pictures of Periwinkle and/or the view from there that you took while down there?

If anyone else has feedback about it or can clear up my confusion on the 2 Periwinkle situation, please let me know!
