I am getting married in April on St Thomas and am confused about what to tell my guests regarding passports. I understand that right now you only need a birth certificate and driver's license (or other gov't form of ID) if you are a US citizen, but I have heard that this will change as of Jan 1, 2008. I don't know if I should just tell everyone to get a passport now, or not. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!
No sorry missed that debate. I'm holding off and waiting for the dems Preparation H tour of America. And I refuse to watch Edwards, a man who thinks he's actually prettier than I am.
THINKS he's prettier than you, promoguy?
Oh you missed his Youtube ad....all done to the song "Hair"...Bad! Debates will never be the same, for sure.
Eagle, related? Well, a more wonderful person.....so warm and nice. But related. Sensitive subject, but you would have to go back to the closing years of WWII, Britain just after the surrender, the RAF and my lonely dad stationed outside of London. If pressed I can go into detail, but would rather not.
Yes, that is also what 22 CFR part 50.1 states.
DING DING DING! You win!
Getting a passport is not that expensive or a horrible process, it just takes a little time - better to be safe than sorry - and your visitors may fall so in love with the USVI they want to travel the Caribbean and will already have their little booklet in place for the next 10 years.
I don't know that the issue is so much whether a visa is needed to go to the USVI - the truth is, no matter what the rules are or become, a visa slicks the way and makes travel just that much easier anywhere....stress is the last thing you need at the time of a wedding, and there's stress sometimes anyway in traveling. There's no sense in trying to explain the law to the undereducated counter worker at the airline if you don't have to, and sometimes you can get a myriad of answers from airline personnel. Just play it on the safe side - and have a WONDERFUL wedding!
ambassador: States what, that promoguy's dad was lonesome outside London at the end of WWII? Sorry, rather confused.
