Passenger Ferry Capacity, Charlotte Amalie to St. John

Two questions about the Charlotte Amalie to St. John passenger ferry:

1) Where in Charlotte Amalie does the ferry dock?
2) Do the passenger ferries ever fill up so that customers have to wait until the next ferry? We are visiting from a cruise ship and if we are late returning, the consequences are severe.

The ferries depart and arrive at Charlotte Amalie from the wharf along front street, right across from the main shopping area. (You'll need to take a taxi back to the ship, unless you have time and energy for a fairly long walk.)

I've never seen a ferry fill to capacity although I suppose anything is possible. Not likely though.
