I'm off to the Virgin Islands with Montana John and our girlfriends next week and wanted to know about Party Boats. I've heard the Kon-Tiki Party Cruise is great fun and fairly inexpensive. Is there any other party boats or trips out on the water where you can enjoy an open bar for a few hours? Does anyone know the schedule for the Kon-Tiki?

Last I heard, the Kon Tiki Was still out of the water. But there are a bunch of trips that have open bars. Try something like the Doubloon, Dancing Dolphin, New Horizons I & II (sail & power), Limnos, Spirit, oh, the list just goes on and on! Where are you staying? That may make a difference as to which ones we suggest. Also, will you be brining passports? That will determine whether you can do a BVI trip, or not, too.

We are staying at the Sapphire in St. Thomas but we have a car rented so it doens't matter too much where we leave from.

On the news tonight, the Kon Tiki is gone forever! Evidently the Coast Guard wanted them to do more work on it than was financially feasible. I am sure someone will come up with an alternative as it was very popular with the cruise ship passengers.

Check with Coral World, as they just bought a boat that is supposed to be very comparable. I've not been on it yet, so I dunno how it rates.

Since you are staying at Sapphire, I'd go with the New Horizons II, hands down. It leaves from Sapphire Marina, has an open bar from the time you step aboard (bloody mary's and mimosas are a great way to start the day!) and they hit four islands. GREAT trip! Eric-

Are the two couples sharing a villa at Sapphire? If so, do you realize that the villas offer 1 king bed and 2 sofa beds? One of the couples will be on a sofa bed. Just making sure you guys (and girls!!!!) understand that. Otherwise, you guys might find yourselves on the sofa beds alone 🙂
