We are renting a Jeep from Courtesy Car Rental on STJ and will be staying close to the Coral Bay area. We will take the NPS ranger led Reef Bay Trail Hike. Is there parking at the NPS Visitor Center for those taking this hike? I understand that we will have a group taxi to the trail head and a boat ride back to the NPS center.

Thanks!

There is parking in the area although you might not find anything right next to the NPS office as much is restricted for NPS employees.

If you get there early enough, you can get a good spot at Immigration across from the Post Office.

I would not park across from the Post Office (in the Immigration parking lot - sorry Mat 🙂 ) There is a 45 min parking time limit and there has been (and still is) a police officer that arrives mid morning and is ticketing/towing if you are over the time limit 🙁

I've rented from Courtesy before. They let you park in their lot if there's space. NPS is just a short walk from there, maybe 1/4 mile tops.

We went on the Reef Bay Hike last year and enjoyed it a great deal. Hiking with a park ranger adds a lot as they stop many times along the way to point out stuff you would have missed hiking alone.

Enjoy!
