*We will be in St. Thomas for the day on Feb. 10th. Planning to catch a cab to Coral World and then doing some snorkelling at Coki Beach. Wondering if you've heard of any experiences with parasailing there. Will be travelling with 2 children (7 & 9) and have seen a website (?Caribbean Watersports?) that will take 2 up at a time...figured my husband could take one child up and I could go up with the other. Heard anything about this parasailing outfit? Would it be too much to fit Coral World, some beach time and parasailing into 6 - 7 hours in port?

Hello Rowers,

I think parasailing trips are scheduled so you would need to call and confirm a time and then plan the Coral World and beach time around it. Caribbean Watersports is a good place to work with. Coral World and Coki are right next to each other so yes I think you could do those three activities if you plan correctly.

Have a great time.

I think you would be just fine doing both. Islander is right though, you do need to schedule in advance since it is on-season and they are really busy. The cost is $55 a person. The entire boat ride and actual parasailing takes a total of about 30 minutes.

I was disappointed in the lack of parasailing arrangements in STT. It is the first place in the Carribean I've been to that I saw no one offering to sign you up. I saw people parasailing southeast of the Charolette harbor but it was not near a shoreline. Parasailing near the beach is 1/2 the fun of doing it.

I must have missed seeing the offer at Coki Beach. I saw no parasailing at any beach.

It is not legal to fly to close any beach or in any bay. Thats why they fly out of the harbour downtown

Now I know---thanks Jimbo! Too bad about the law. I would think there would be one designated beach somewhere on STT that would allow such water sports but they must have their reasons.

Thanks again...
