I see that paradise point tram is not in operation on Fridays. Does this mean that the bar and restaurant will be closed too? Thanks!

the tram is normally open when their are Cruise ships in the harbor. you can get discount tickets for the tram at the new visitors center behind and up the hill from the Fort. There's a sunset party and band on Wednesdays... the shops aren't much except for the Pirate shop... great live Parrot show (free) if you like smart talking birds!
If you have a car you can drive up for free and save yourself big money that you can use for drinks and purchases!

"SKYRIDE SUMMER OPERATING SCHEDULE (May- September):
The Skyride and Paradise Point are open on all ship days. Hours are 9AM- 5PM and Weds 9AM-10PM.

SUNSET @ the BAR
The bar is open Mondays and Tuesdays until 7:30PM with live music. Drive up the hill.
Weds nights the bar is open until 10PM. The road is closed on Weds evenings.

FINE DINING
Weekend fine dining and Ride & Dine has been suspended for the summer and will resume in October."

So if there aren't any ships in port on a Friday then yes the Tram and Paradise Point (restaurant/bar) are closed.

So, then you have to take the tram up on Wedns nights since the road is closed? Why is the road closed?

Hello Golden,

They want people to take the tram on Wednesday nights for the sunset happy hour so they block/close the road.

Thanks Islander. Would you say Wedns nights would be the best night
to go up, since they have the sunset party/band and food going on till 10pm? Is that correct? Is there a place to park a rental car at the bottom where I would pick up the tram without any worry?

Lots of places to park at the bottom and ride upon Wed. nites. They have a lot directly at the bottom, one just a little upFlag Hill, and you can alsopark in Havensight. Plenty to choose from and no worries in any of them.
