I just watched a short video about Marina Cay and the Pain Killer drinks they sell. Is it true that women are not allowed to drink the four oz Pussers Rum Pain killers? They make them with 2 ozs., 3 ozs. and 4 ozs of rum and only men or kings are allowed to drink them....I am curious as to why that is. Does anyone have the answer?

Do you believe everythingyou see on a video? Was it a promotional video? They probably want you to check it out for yourself. If you have the money and are of age, history would be made if you were not served any drink on the menue. Pleeeesse, get real. LOL.

No, actually it was the owner of Pussers, Charles Tobias, on Marina cay Island giving a little history lesson. He talked about the original owners, Rob & Rudy White. He also explained how Pussers Rum got its other name Nelson's Blood. He states that in the BVI, women are not allowed to drink the Pain Killer with 4oz of rum in it, they can drink the others, (2 or 3 oz.)

The video is at the bottom, right side of the page of the page.
Guess I will find out for myself when we visit there on the 8th of March.

Who would want to drive a 4 shot of a Painkiller.
They're big in the bahamas and saw a girl from a cruise ship basically falling off the chair because she got a 5 shotter.
That's crazy.
To my knowledge, Pain Killers are supposed to be made with 151 rum. 'nuff said??
Lady Blue, I had a #3 just a week and a half ago. It was great! The best painkiller I had all week. It was also plenty strong!
Interesting you brought this up. We've been going to St Croix for the last couple of years. A few years ago I was reading about the Luncheria on St Croix. Think I was looking at a "dive site" that happened to have ratings for eating places on the island. The Luncheria was recommended for their authentic and good Mexican food. But,most importantly, they recommended the $1.00 Margarita (sp?). Anyway, I went up and ordered a "house" Margie for wife and I,... and the bartender said: "Are you sure you want one for the lady?" (This was about 11 AM). Well, I drank two, and half of my wife's and had a midnight buzz on. When I went to pay the bill, the bartender scolded me and said next time I should buy the lady a regular Margarita. I asked him the secret of his potent concoction and then guessed and was correct...151 Tequila. We will be back there in MARCH, however the drink is now $1.50. Why not just make it $1.51?
That is a funny story, Sandcrab... but why scold YOU... since you were the one that left cross-eyed! Funny about $1.51... hahaha... thanks for the laugh! Spicy <')))<
I'll be in St.Croix from March 3rd thru the 10th. I believe the wife and will have to try out those margarita's.
My story on having my first painkiller...
About 4/5 years ago my wife and I went to Stixx in Christiansted on a Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful day and we sat out on the upper deck looking out at the boats in the harbor. My wife asked the bartender for something "fruity" to drink and I asked him how they made their painkillers. He told me the ingredients and said that they used 151 rum. After I thought about it, I said,"That sounds like a sissy drink, give me a beer". The bartender said," Oh yeah tough guy,let me see you drink two of them". Well he made me one in what was probably a 16 oz. glass into which I swear he put 8 oz. of 151. Needless to say, I didn't go for the second drink. I went back to our room and took a nap.
