Sorry this is so late. With the Red Wings winning the stanley cup (go wings!) and trying to catch up with flower planting I seem to have been slacking. 5 of us left from Detroit on the 6 am flight my husband Dave and I, our son, his girlfriend and my sister. We only live 20 min. from the airport so 4:00 am pickup was OK. Got to Dulles where my nephew was supposed to meet us on flight to STT but he was a no show. Found out later he got stuck in traffic on the beltway and was less than 2 hrs for the flight so United wouldn't let him board. More about Dulles later. He did show up the next day. We arrived at Stt about 12:30 pm and were greeted by Sherri, which was great. We rented a mid-size car with hot wire which went through Avis for $500 for 2 weeks. Thought this was pretty good deal. We stayed at the villa Allure thru McLaughlin in Petersborg which was just beautiful overlooking the Atlantic. The villa was great had everything you would need to relax and all the comforts of home. We got in early enough so had time to do grocery shopping. Went to Cost-U-Less. For about $150 got about everything we needed for the week for breakfast, lunch, snacks, liquor and pop for the beach. We also picked up some steaks for the grill. They even have a butcher right there. Had a great prime rib dinner at the Toad & Tart was really nice to see Anna again.
