And wereeeeeee back! We arrived in Philly at around midnight and was home shortly after 130am. It is now almost 4pm, and im on the internet uploading photos, and checking out prices to go back again LMAO and in September HAHA.. Im addicted!

07/12- We had a long day. Left Philly at 645am for a 1hr 15 min flight to Charlotte. Layover in Charlotte was 3 hrs, and then back on the plane for a 3 1/2 hour flight to STT. We arrived in STT at about 345pm. Never again will I do a connecting flight unless I absolutely have to or if there isnt a nonstop available. Me and Sean (my son) tackle up the luggage, and my mom gets the rental car squared away.. We rented from Avis and she was at the counter for maybe 5 minutes and had the keys.. Outta the airport we go, and over to Redhook to catch the car barge. Sean cackling the whole way lets get pizza. We cruise off the barge and over to the Westin to check in, and drop off the luggage. First 2 nights we are in the hotel and the last 7 were in the villas. Off to Ronnie's we go, and as soon as we walk in Sean is all smiles. HINT HINT, he LOVES pizza. Ronnie, remembered us as soon as we walked in, how could he not.. This is the family that comes everyday for lunch bc the kid will only eat pizza, LMAO semi true.. Back to the hotel we put our swim suits on and we go down to the pool to relax and call it a day. That night we all slept good.

07/13- Wake up about 7am, and pack a bag for the day and head to the Mango Deli for breakfast. Breakfast there is great.. Love the French toast, and the Skillet scramble. Prices are reasonable, and just a cool cool friendly place. By the way, im a girl who is up early (throws the blankets off everyone and yells rise and shine, then doesnt when to go to bed).. That day we spent a good amount of time at Cinammon Bay up until noon, and then cruised to Skinny Legs for lunch. Took a drive and greeted the goats, and just took in the cool fresh breeze that was blowing around. Back to the hotel for the afternoon and just hung around the pool and the bar. The Beach Bar by the pool at the Westin had great wings, great drinks, and met many new friends. We stopped at Nauti Nymph and decided to charter a boat for Sat 07/14 to go to JVD. That was what we were looking forward to. Mom loves White Bay..

07/14- Woke up, packed a bag and headed down to the dock to wait for our captain for our day trip to JVD. Our captain for the day was Matt. Awesome, awesome guy. Down to earth, funny, very knowledgeable, and not bad on the eyes LMAO.. Oh darn the bad girl is coming out in me.. Ask me if we did much that day, lol nope just eat and drink.. We had lunch at the Soggy Dollar Bar, stopped at Foxys (Sean loves to pick up a treasure box for himself), Sandy Spit, and swam in White Bay. A fun fun day was had, and it sure went fast. So fast that the next few days we were thinking of doing it again.

07/15- We lounged at the resort all day, swam in the pool, and just took it easy. Also, at 3pm we headed to Woodys for Happy Hour and met Chrisatwork and his wife. Great group of people, so sorry I didnt catch yas on Wed.. Have to plan it again sometime. Bimini we missed ya there. Next time though for sure.

07/16- Today was Seans BDay. That morning we went down the the Baked in the Sun bakery to see if we could order a BDay cake for Sean. We succeeded. We ordered a 3 layer Choc cake with light whip topping in between the layers, and a Choc mousse iced topping. Deliciousssssss. We had dinner that night at the Banana Deck, which was good just too much food. The salads were humungous. They could feed 4 people. Then back in the room that night we sang Happy BDay to Sean and dived into the cake. It was the best cake I have ever tasted. They did a great job on it. This was now Seans 2nd BDay in STJ.

07/17- We broke down and decided to charter a boat again for Friday thru Nauti Nymph with our favorite captain Matt again.. Also, we went to Honeymoon Beach, which was very beautiful. I think this is my favorite on STJ.. Stopped by Solomon but the water was very rough. Not sure if it was the weather that day, or if it is always like that there. Still had a great time.

** We didnt really venture to any restaurants every night this trip, only because I think we did most of our drinking and eating during the day. And our breakfast every morning was either at the Mango Deli or at the resort.

07/18- Went to Maho, Francis, and Cinammon. Lounged by the pool, went to Skinny Legs, and was lazy!

07/19- Did some shopping in Mongoose Junction, made pit stops at many of the beaches, ended up at Woodys, and had another great day.

** Cant remember which night we had the power outages on STT and STJ, but that night we had dinner down in the dining area at the Westin. They had a buffet for people put together last minute. Didnt want to drive downtown and take the chance of a restaurant not cooking.

07/20- Another fantastic day.. We went with captain Matt again and cruised over to JVD. First in the morning we sailed over to Cinammon so I could swim ashore to find my snorkeling gear that I had accidentally left there the day before. Thankfully, someone turned it in and they held it for me. Then we snorkeled over by Watermelon and cruised on over to JVD.. Stopped by Foxys, made a short stop to Soggy Dollar, and then spent the rest of the day at Ivans. Ivans, I just adore. That is my favorite place by far to go too. We found a board and glued our seashells on it, I played bartender, met Ivan (which is a awesome guy), and admired a cool place.

07/21- The day I dread, and think of every excuse to miss the plane. We took showers, packed our bags, did some more shopping, and checked out. We decided to go back over to STT early so we could go to Kmart to stock up on Rum. I was soooo ecstatic to see bottles of rum only $6.29.. Yes, sweet jesus this was the best day LMAO.. We took 12 bottles and at the cash register I didnt even total at $100.. Now that I call a bargain. Here the rum a bottle is $12-13.. Sean got oh so excited bc he spotted a McDonalds so we stopped, and he was pleased. Off the airport we went, boarded the plane around 450pm for a the flight to Charlotte then home. I will admit, walking up the steps of the plane I stopped took in one last view and tears ran from my eyes. I didnt want to go home, I feel more at home down there than I do here. I guess thats why I want to back in a month or so.

** Highlights, disappointments, etc..
Definately enjoyed captain Matt with Nauti Nymph
Wasnt pleased with housekeeping at the Westin. Had to place several calls before you saw towels or washcloths
Next time we go to Cafe Roma, just order 1 dish. 2 dishes is too much food.
Next trip spend the first 3 days on JVD
Cheap Rum Cheap Rum Cheap Rum
Met more cool new friends

I cant think of much more right now. I didnt sleep much last night but I wanted to give everyone a small run down of our trip, and say that we enjoyed ourselves like we always do. We have been going to STJ for 5 years and were never disappointed nor bored of it. I find this board to be helpful to newbies and even as well to people who have been members for quite some time. Now who wants to go with me in Sept??? LMFAO!!!

What a great trip!!! I'm curious which boat did you rent at Nauti Nymph? I am heading down there in October and would love to do this!

We rented the 29 foot had 2 twin engines. Great boat, and it had alot of speed. Last year we had a 27 with only a single engine and that seemed to drag a bit.

Coco -

Sounds like you had a very lazy and wonderful vacation. Ours wasn't nearly as jam packed as yours, but it was very hard to leave the deck of the villa that overlooked the water.

We had to pack Tuesday night - the very night that the power went out for most of the evening and well into the night. It actually turned out to be the best night of the trip because there was no TV to distract anyone. Just like camping, but in paradise instead of some jacked up homogenous campsite.

Was Captain Matt reasonable? We'll use him 'next time." Whenever that is...

The boat price was reasonable. We got Matt thru NN, and the boat was $400 and the captain was $115. Then we just had to take care of gas.
