Anyone stayed there? I know it's fairly new, but maybe someone on this board has been there by now. I'll be staying there in November and am anxious to hear a review of the villa and location. =O) By the way, this forum is an absolutely fantastic source of information. Thanks so much to everyone who posts!

I guess I'll have to be sure to post a detailed villa report on this one when I return! It seems to be the mystery villa so far. =o)

I've stayed several times at Happy Moon, just below Orions Hill and was on-site before the second story was built. Very nice view down into Coral Bay to the islands on the south side of Sir Francis Drake Passage. Nice sweeping view of Bordeaux Mtn and Mamey Peak. What sets Orions Hill apart is it also looks into Cinnamon Bay making it one of only a handful of villas that have good north and south views. OH will be cooler and breezier that nearly any place on STJ. The pool if it is without heater will be downright cold. Terrific location for north shore beaches.
I would expect the place to be functional without opulence. Both Happy Moon and OH are owned by the same on-island couple who just might be the best/nicest owners on STJ.

Thanks so much MLS! I don't think the pool is heated. I hope it's not too cold! We'll primarily be using it in the morning and evening. Glad to hear that the villa is owned my a nice couple. Do you know if they live nearby?

Trevor,
Yes please post some detailed info on Orion's Hill - we are renting both OH and Happy Moon in December. What extras come with the house? Any snorkling gear or beach chairs? Fun stuff in the house? What kind of coffee filters do we bring (cone or basket)? Is the kitchen well stocked (not food - but utensils, etc?) Would you go back to this spot?
Is the pool temp ok in November? Can you walk to anything from the house? we are hikers and walkers- and don't mind a hill. Appreciate hearing any information you care to share after your return. Thanks!
