We are raw vegans travelling to St. John for the first time next month. We need(!) organic or locally grown produce. Is much grown on the islands? Where can we find the largest selection of organic produce or locally grown?

I'll be visiting next week. I just want to know if you know of any place near the Port in Charlotte Aalie, St. Thomas where I can purchase some Cinnamon Oil? If I knew before hand where to go, this will save me alot of time instead of trying to shop around for it.

It may be difficult to get exclusively local and organic veggies and fruits on St. John. I don't recall specifically whether the Dolphin Market in Cruz Bay has organics or not... they can have a reasonably wide selection of produce, but I think it is mostly shipped over from Puerto Rico and elsewhere... I really don't know what the origins are.
One place you should try to find that we came across last year at the tail end of our trip is a low key local farmer in Coral Bay. I think he/they were organic but I can't be sure at this point. To find them, from Coral Bay at the intersection with the gas station, take the road that leads into the valley (i.e., as if towards Bordeaux Mtn.)... it was a basically unmarked farm stand on the left side, maybe 1.5 miles up the road.
Don't buy them all out, we're hoping to get some good salad fixin's too!! 😉
