I don't know how to ask this question - all my words are banned so I will make it really short and hope it posts this time - I have removed all names and items that might cause me to be confused with someone selling something - hope the point of my question still comes through.

A resort is telling me there is no way the deal a travel agent gave me is accurate to be all inclusive.
Afraid to take the deal and find out it is room only even though agent says all inclusive.
It is an online agent.
Anyone have any experience with this - good or bad.
I don't want to pass up a great deal, but I don't want to pay and then find out I am not getting what I think I am. Especially since this is already an alternate resort since messages here are scaring me away from the place I already booked!

Thank you for any help or insight you may be able to provide.

I work at a large resort on STX and we deal with third-party payers all the time, mostly people like Expedia and Travelocity. We have contracts with them saying what they can sell and for what price. It's pretty clear on their websites. Your main problem is you will have no recourse from the resort if things fall through because you are not actually paying the resort. You pay the wholesaler and they pay the resort.

I would certainly suggest getting everything is writing. Then, at least, you have something on your side if you have to contest charges.

I don't know why you are having trouble posting specifics.

If the resort itself is telling you that your deal "is too good to be true" I'd listen closely.....from your screen name it appears that the resort in question is on St. John...what resort is it? What was the other resort that messages are scaring you away from?
