Staying in St. Thomas for 8 days, but want to spend at least 1 day over in St. Johns. We will take the ferry over to St. Johns, but what should we do when we get there. Would love to vist the different bays. Should we take a taxi, rent a jeep, or take a tour? Any suggestions would be great.

This is just my suggestion , but I just did the same thing a few weeks ago . I rented a Jeep @9am and returned it at 7 pm . it was well worth the money and much better than waiting for a taxi. $50 a day at that time from cool breezes , very convenient and close to dock ,quick in a jeep in mins and on my way to the beaches make it at least to Hawksnest and Maho to great beaches and not to crowded. it was awesome

Hello Jen,

If you want to beach hop and spend the entire day on St. John you should rent a car over there and spend the day doing an island drive, beach hopping, snorkeling... you might consider bringing a change of cloths with you and rinse off and change at Cinnamon Bay or Trunk Bay (they both have showers/changing rooms) Then when you return the jeep you can stay in Cruz Bay for a few hours and have dinner, shop, have drinks... before heading back on the ferry.

If you have a rental car on St. Thomas you might be able to take it over for day. Some agencies allow it and there is a car barge.

If you just want a few hours on St. John then a taxi tour for an hour or two and then get dropped at a beach for a few hours.
