We have been here two weeks and the magic of the islands has us motivated to do nothing !! Our Daughter & Grand kids get here today...no problems for them flying out of O'Hare to Atlanta then on down, this is the kids 4th visit here and our G'son turns 14 tomorrow! We ordered the cake from the new "Sweetie Pie, bakery and deli", its by the new large gas station in Bovoni. We had to try some pastries and they are delish...they also have soups, sandwiches and salads , they are a young couple and we all need to support them!!!
Some good things...staying on STT has given us time to roam all over & meet some of the interesting people and tourists !! Thank God for the kids & their parents at the public schools, the kids are up early, looking so sharp in their uniforms ( so sorry for the HS boys who got stuck with the pink shirts!) very neat & clean looking and you might see some of these kids working around the island after school.
we love the book store at Havensight, the Pharmacy at Red Hook and the courtesy of some of the drivers who will tap their horn to let you out and be sure to beep right back'
some not so good, The Agave Terrace restaurant is no longer open, if Molly Malones and the other businesses don't get their restroom cleaned up I won't go there. after saying that, we had dinner & a better breakfast there.
some of our favorite places to eat , so far has been The Lime Inn on STJ for the best Caribbean lobster, breakfast at "The Deli Deck" in Haven site the Green House, be sure to try their Bang Bang shrimp.
I will write more later, the sun just came out
