My wife and I had a great time on our "trip" with them even though we hit a couple of rain showers. The crew was a lot of fun but it also depends on who the other customers are. If you get a bunch of dead heads it isn't anywhere the fun.

I went with Ondeck a couple weeks ago, and it is an intense trip! I highly recommend it, but it is not for the faint of heart. Those racing Pharrs heel up at an almost vertical angle. I have met a few of the crew, and they are really fun guys who love what they do . . .make sure you tip well!

I've met the folks who run this operation and feedback on it has been very good. Just remember, though, that these are serious sailors and humgrindle is correct in advising that this isn't for the faint of heart, nor for those who are looking for a typically gentle and leisurely sail with the waves lapping calmly on the hull and a frosted mug in one hand! On Deck Racing sounds perfect for him. He's always wanted to try racing so this program sounds like the right place to get your feet wet so to speak. He's been sailing since he was a teenager so I think this will provide a new challenge. I on the other hand will be sitting firmly back on land! As usual this forum has provided great information for us.
