I was wondering after stumbling on to your beautiful site if an old buddie of mine is alive and well down there on Water Island.Alex Donovan retired military.He would be up in the years but probably still barking orders.If he is around and up on the computer skills give him my e-mail when you see him.He still owes me an answer.Oh yeah buy him a drink and put it on my bill!

I know Alex. His house (well.....one of his homes) is just down the road/hill from ours on Flamingo Point/Water Island. He's been working on it for several years. He's still on Water Island though I think he splits his time between WI and STT. He's a funny guy.....HA HA funny, not 'strange' funny. I asked him one time to tell me the type of tree and pointed to a flowering tree. He said, "oh, yes my dear, that is a 'jump up and kiss me tree'". You had to be there to see the sparkle in his eye. He's always making me laugh.
I've got a Water Island Directory at home and (if I can remember!) will get it out tonight and jot down the # for you. Islander: If you call some folks on Water Island, they would also have Water Island Directory w/Alex phone.

Just saw your old message 2005. Alex Donovan passed away on April 15th 2013, he was a dear friend of mine. We worked together on Water Island back in the 80's. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Contact me if you have questions.
