Do I just take a Taxi from the Airport to Charlotte Amalie?? How much should it cost? Any tips or helpful hints would be appreciated.

Yes, they will be waiting for you as you leave the airport. The cost varies, but it shouldn't be more than $10-15. Just ask the driver before you get in his taxi. They can charge extra for luggage. Here's some advise, be very polite when addressing the local people on St Thomas. (Sir, ma'am etc) They find us very crass with our normal hurried questions. Relax and have fun. Good luck.

Once in your taxi, and on your way, begin to relax. I know that you are still on travel time, rushing here and there and all excited about your trip. But now is the time to start RELAXING. You have a great week ahead of you, no responsibilities except getting to your hotel, cottage, etc. Take a deep breath, let it out, and enjoy the taxi ride. Now when you get to your desination, have a cold libation, look at the scenery, and feel ISLAND TIME slide over you. Smile, say "gee I'm glad to be here" some island tunes, sit, and enjoy!! You can stress over which beach your'e going to hit first in the morning.
