We are going to be staying at Bluebeard's Castle in October and want to get married at either the castle or Bluebeard's beach. Which is better or is there a best place for a wedding?? Just the two of us, but want it special, and NO CRUISE SHIPS in the photos. RECOMMENDATIONS?

My wife and I got married state side and honeymooned in St. Thomas a couple of years ago. We stayed a Pavilions and Pools (great for honeymooners due to the private pool). We met people from Sapphire Beach and they have many weddings right there on the point. We bought at the Beach Club and the beach is very nice and quiet and would make a great place for a wedding. Hey, I'm a Justice of the Peace. I'll do the wedding for you and will only charge you the cost of airfare. I think that if I were picking out a beach for a wedding I'd head to St. John by sail boat and swim to the shore for the wedding. Regardless of where you have the actual wedding it will be not only beautiful but special.

Patti: Actually, Bluebeard's Beach (formerly Limetree) is one of the "sunset beaches" on St Thomas, so if that interests you... and don't count out having the cruise ships in the back ground as they sail off into the sunset...it makes pretty spectacular photos! The view of town and the harbor from the pool at Bluebeard's Castle is pretty spectacular, too. Lots of decisions. I guess you're glad you already picked out the groom!! 😉

Another option is the Elysian beach - actually any beach if you don't mind the short ride. You won't have cruise ships in the background but will have moored boats tho! If you choose to go down past Bonnie's and at the end of Hugo under the Cowpet Condos, the view out to Little St. James and the water is pretty clear of boats! Since they've replanted the palm trees makes for some nice pix and a nice setting.
