We had a great meal 2 years ago at Oceania, and I was just wondering if they are still open. I havent' noticed any talk or reccomendations for that restuarant lately on this site. We are coming to St Thomas the week of March 10-17 and were trying to plan a few places to revisit. We also had a great time at Sapphire Beach but have since been reading that the bar and restuarant are at this time closed. Besides Bolongo could anyone point us in the direction of some fun beach bars on St thomas.

Although it not on the beach...in fact it's in a parking lot, we had a ball at Duffy's Love Shack. Good bartenders, good drinks and music.

Remi: Here is my response to someone who was looking for a day trip to St Thomas from St Croix:

Another idea that we do with day visitors is a beach bar hop and island tour. You would have to rent a car and pick them up- then drive around the island and stop at two or three beaches of the following: (clockwise): Lindbergh, Brewers, Hull Bay, Magens, Iggie's at Point Pleasant (for drinks or lunch, not really on the beach), Coki, Secret Harbour, Bolongo, Limetree/Bluebeard's Beach, Morningstar. (You can also go counterclockwise, if you wish. You have to pay to get into Magens. John Brewers doesn't have chairs/restaurant, but it does have mobile food/beverage vendors and some picnic tables. It is a fun way to see the island.

Oceana is still open.
New spots this year are: Wikked at Yacht Haven Grande and Lotus Grill at American Yacht Harbor.

Just ate there tonight, food is excellent and the ambiance cannot be beat by any restaurant on this island. the prices have gone up a bit though average entree was $35. But well worth it every once in a while.

My sister who has lived in St. Thomas and is very picky after years of substandard and over priced restaurants recommends Oceana to everyone. She also mentioned a restaurant called Indigo. We arrived today and will post our reviews.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. The last time we were in St Thomas we also ate at Indigos and it was wonderful. Great atmosphere out by the pool, we will definitely go back there in March.
