Are there any nude beaches on STT or STJ. We would like to visit one in May if there are any good ideas where we can bathe nude. Thanks..
No nude beaches on St. John. Sure there are some isolated beaches where one might be able to "get away with it", but there are no nude beaches like Orient on St. Marten.
True...and the ones where you may find it tolerated (still illegal), you will find that there are very few people there in the nude. On STT, try Little Magens/Platform Beach...on STJ, while there IS a beach where some go nude, I just can't remember the name of it...anyone? And there are many beaches that may only be accessible by boat that one could go nude...if you are going to go nude for the 'all over tan', then finding one suitable will be easy enough...if going to 'people watch', you will be disappointed...
The National Park beaches enforce anti-nudity laws and patrol from land and water. It's a $50 fine and a potential Federal arrest. Private villas are the best place to work on the tan lines. Saloman Bay is the traditional nude beach.
Non-NPS beaches that are private and relatively accessible are Kiddle Bay and Grootpan Bay. These are rocky beaches, so bring a chair.
