Is there ANY nude beaches in STT or STJ? My wife and I are not your typical nudists. We are both in very good shape and in our 30s. We enjoy nude beaches and have been trying to find one in the Virgins.

No nude beaches. Some are used, but it is illegal. Saloman in STJ is one and Little Magens in STT. Best bet is to rent a villa where you can do as you like.

Rent a dinghy on St. John and then go visit Henley Cay. It's not a nude beach per se, but isolated enough that chances are you'll have the place to yourselves.

Also a great little beach here on St.Thomas I could point you to which you could use discretely. It is NOT a nude beach per se but no one uses it at all and it's away from everything,so possible.

Sound just like what we are looking for Island Paul. Tell me more! Any clothing-optional resorts in the USVI that you know of??

I've never responded to one of these threads before, but I have to say it is absolutely beyond me why one would ask how and where to go about breaking the local laws of any place they might visit. There are no nude beaches or clothing optional resorts in the USVI because it is against the law. Think what you want of the law, the citizens of the territory want it and that should be the end of it.

To me it is as simple as that - if you want to bathe in the nude you should go someplace where it is not illegal - no judgement.

Everything I've read in these message boards tells me that the majority of the permanent residents of the Virgin Islands are MORE conservative than the average "mainlander". Conservative in dress, politeness, language, and DRESS. Here in Carbondale, Illinois, it's not unusual to see girls wearing bikini tops uptown in the summer. I've read that in the Virgin Islands, wearing swim attire anywhere else than on the beach is considered RUDE. I know that when I visit a friend, I respect that person's customs, even if they are different than what I'm used to. I don't think that we ought to think any differently when visiting someone else's island. I agree with Ron. Rather than break the law just because it may be inconvenient, rent a villa with a private sunning area, or vacation in another location where naked sunning is accpetable

Go to Hedonism. Plenty of that in Jamaica.

I don't think "tan" wants to sunbathe nude in the privacy of their own villa. I think the point is that they want a public place to show off to others that they are in their 30's, in good shape, and have smooth, tan, chiseled buns.

Peacocks.

Tan,
Haven't been there in a while but, St. Martin has a nude beach. (Dutch side) I don't know about the French side
