MY WIFE AND I ALONG WITH SEVERAL FRIENDS ARE GOING ON A CRUISE IN NOVEMBER. WE WILL BE STOPPING IN
ST. THOMAS AND WE WANT TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY NUDE OR TOPLESS BEACHES
LOCATED ON THE ISLAND.
THANKS AHEAD OF TIME FOR ANY INFO YOU CAN GIVE US.

The quickest way to get your answer to that one is to do a search for "nude beaches" on the message board. Seems to be one of the most asked questions. You might not like the answers.....

Public nudity is illegal in USVI. No distinction is made between being nude in the center of Charlotte Amalie or nude on a beach. This doesn't surprise me. I live near Boston and public nudity is illegal here also.

There are a couple of non offical nude beaches - Solomon in St. John and Little Megan's in St. Thomas. Both can be difficult to get to and you run the risk of being ticketed for illegal behavior. Sorry ...

NICK,
NONE OF US WERE PLANNING ON GETTING UNDRESSED DOWNTOWN, OR ON A PUBLIC BEACH. I WAS ASKING FOR INFORMATION ON NUDE BEACHES. I TOO WOULD BE OFFENDED IF ANYONE WOULD DO AS YOU SUGGESTED.
THANKS,
JIM

I've been going to st.john every year for close to ten years now as far as nudes beaches go.I guess it depends on how much effort you want to put out to get their. We go to solomans for nude sunbathing,we know some people have gotten a ticket, but we have never had a problem....if your timing is right you also use Jumbie bay to enhance your all over tan.I guess a lot has to do with how much time you have to spend on st.john .There are many little coves and bays you can hike to and be the only people there.Thats why we love st.john and come back every year and twice a year when we can

Point to the last post - if you want to privately sunbath or skinny dip - could be carefully possible. An an actual - let's all go to the nude beach - no.

Please enjoy your visit here - I'm sure you'll find plenty of beaches where you might spend a delightful afternoon. One is just up the beach from the house where I live and quite honestly - I would think you could do what you wanted on it without being seen or disturbed. E-mail me if you'd like.

hi, i have been to st. john twice in the last few years. we now hear that solomon beach is off limits to nude activity. you said you live there and you know of locations on the island that are secluded. we are two couples that enjoy nude sunbathing and swimming. can you help me out. we are always game to go to lots of trouble in getting to there locations. thanks..

Probably the simplest strategy for nude sunbathing and swimming is to rent a secluded villa with a pool.

nick you have the right idea...
also there are plenty of other islands to go to if that is what you have in mind....martinique/guadeloupe/turks and caicos(last time i was there anyway)and i am sure many others..

meantime the virgin islands have plenty of other things to offer....that private villa sounds like a great idea !
