Hello folks,
We're new here. We will be on a cruise into the USVI and Sint Martin November 20-21.

I have been told about two places that I should visit in the region.

They are :
The Bitter End yacht club. It is located on the north end of Virgin Gorda and you can only get there by boat.
There is a brew pub in St. Croux. It is in Christinsted.

Anyone know of these places? Is it possible to visit either of these places with a short half day charter?

Our plan otherwise is to sightsee a bit in STT in the am then take the ferry across to STJ for a little bit.

When in Sint Martin we haven't quite decided what to do.

Thanks

PhilnLiz:
Not possible. If your cruise ship port-of-call is St. Thomas or St. Martin - either port, The Bitter End Yacht Club is out of your reach as is St. Croix - at least for this trip. There's always another trip you can plan to the USVI and, depending on the length of your stay, could also include the Bitter End. Enjoy your cruise and take full advantage of your other destinations for this voyage!

Actually you can now take the sea plane to North Sound - well, just not yet but another start up day this week is planned - from STT but I seriuously doubt that the schedule would fit the cruise schedule since it is just weekends and they also fly to STX . Would make for a rather hectic day so enjoy STT and STJ - and there are charters that work with the cruisers' schedules - while you are there and next time head for Virgin Gorda and maybe BEYC. You might want to consider a trip to Anguilla from SXM if you are looking for a wonderful beach stop. It's a quick ferry ride from Marigot but a "short 1/2 day charter" would not give you enough time to really enjoy Anguilla's beaches either.
