would someone please tell me about norbuevents.com. I think their website is beautiful, but how many guest can you have and do they take care of the catering etc.???
thanks
If you do get a hold of them, ask how on earth they are running a business in a residential (R1) neighborhood...
Norbu Events, LLC and Villa Norbu are two separate businesses. Norbu Villa is a private villa that is leased exclusively to Norbu Events. Norbu Villa follows all the rules and regulations of any villa operating in an R1 Zone in the USVI. Please note that about 75% of all the villas on St. Thomas and St. John are in R1 zone residential areas. If you have any questions regarding Norbu, please contact the property manager.
EE: Good question and interesting response which didn't answer the OP's question and was a bit obfuscating?
Pretty interesting stuff. I remember when Cliff Bryan was doing those private parties at his house on Skyline that a neighbor lawyer got him to quit for the same reason. There are oodles of these villas that do it nevertheless. Don't quite see how it can be stopped. Would be the same as anyone having a large party at their residence.
PS. It does say up to 50 people on the sight.
I have been photographing events at Villas on St. Thomas and St. John for the past 22 years and have rarely witnessed any problems with intimate events in residential neighborhoods. The minimal, avoidable problems that have occurred were usually associated with loud band music, especially after the 10 pm R1 curfew or major traffic problems such as in the Cliff Bryan Villa situation on Skyline Drive many, many years back. Respect is the key ingredient to the success of thousands of residential Villas that allow these types of events throughout the world.
