Has anyone had experience renting from Noah's Little Arks at Wharfside Village on STJ?
We rented from them last Thursday and had a great time! One of the best days we spent on the island. I think we paid around $130 or $150 for the full day. They make you watch a training video that takes about 15 minutes then give you a little crash coarse and a waterproof map then send you on your way. We took it to honeymoon, trunk, jumbie, cinnamon and waterlemon cay. Make sure you rent it on a clear, calm day otherwise the swells can be a little rough and you'll have to take it a little slower. Wear lots of sunscreen also, it takes about an hour to get to Waterlemon (great snorkeling!) we reapplied sunscreen every few hours and still got a little fried... but well worth it! What a great time... I highly recommend renting from them and spending at least one day on the water!
How many can one of these dinghys hold? We have 6 adults.
We rented one of the smaller ones and could've probably fit 3 in comfortably. I saw some other people one day who rented one and they had 5 people in theres. They were sitting on the sides which was hard to do when we rented it because of the huge swells. i would suggest renting 2.
We tried to rent one last week, one recommendation from local's, from Noah's Ark and they were already booked. We rented from Cruz Bay Water Sports (at the Westin and an office in the lumberyard) and had a blast. You leave from the Westin (Great Cruz Bay); but if I did it again, I would rent early from Noah's Ark. Have fun!!!
Ok...I did get a little chuckle picturing a dinghy (what I know to be a dinghy which is very small in length and width with a small motor) with 6 adults. Dinghy's are the extreme opposite of Noah's ark!
