Hi again,

we are coming to STT soon to have our wedding and we wrote to:
[email protected]

to prepare all the paperwork before we are coming.

It's already 11 days back and we haven't had any answer yet.

Did we anything wrong? Should I better call them? Is it the wrong contact for this?

You may wish to call instead if you're in a hurry! No telling who is minding the email "bucket". This site has a wedding info page and at the bottom there are pertinent details about the Superior Court and wedding application fees. Keep in mind, that like in any place where you have never been, procedures and the "local clock" on such things creates the need for professional services to help guests cut through to the chase. Maybe you should also consider a local planning service, it may be worth the extra ducats.

Marriage license information for the Virgin Islands is provided in the table below. In most cases wedding planners will assist with the marriage license application process.
Marriage License Application

The marriage license application fee is $100 ($50 for application fee and $50 for the license). There is an 8 day waiting and processing period, which can be waived depending on circumstances. The application is good for 1 year. Court marriages in front of a judge are performed on weekdays by appointment and will cost around $200. Religious ceremonies should be arranged directly with church officials. If either party has been divorced, a certified copy of the divorce decree must be presented. If you are requesting a marriage license through the mail, without the help of a local wedding planner you will have to pick up the license yourself on arrival. This can only be done of regular business days.

We are getting married next Friday at Point Pleasant Resort. I went through www.islandweddingservices.com and haven't had any problems. Check out their site because they have 10 fail proof steps on getting hitched on the islands...Good Luck

I am a coordinator and again as A.Davis mentioned those details are managed by the wedding company. To help you tho, Contact Brenda at the court house. The phone number is: 693-6435. This line will take you directly to her desk! You will need to go to the court house upon your arrival to sign and confirm that all of your documentation is true and correct.
I do not believe that they even send this information back to you, most important thing is that you got it to them before the 10 days. The court house DOES open on Saturday and Sunday mornings and even certain holidays, but for limited hours and there is a higher fee to go to court on those days. That would be a $150 total fee.
Wedding companies in the VI can provide you with religious ceremonies as well as non-religious just so you know!
Hope this has added to the above information!
