My wife and I are returning to Caneel Bay in late Oct. to spend a week celebrating our anniversary. Caneel, is a super place to unwind, but it offers no nightlife after dinner. Can anyone recommend any bars/restaurants in Cruz Bay that have dancing at night? Any have live bands? Also, any suggestions for bars with a great Happy Hour?
All of Cruz Bay has nightlife. Dancing and music in various places. It's all within walking distance so you won't miss anything.
Woody's is the main place with reduced prices at happy hour, $1 domestic beers and $2 foreigns the last time we were there. Cap's Place has cheap Presidente's for walking around beers. We tend to hit the Quiet Mon and watch the day unwind from the terrace or the Beach Bar. The Tap Room is great for draught beers and for a sports/news fix. We want to get by Jake's for a drink overlooking town during our November trip.

The best thing to do is ask around when you get there. The bartenders and locals will know what is going on.
