Lybo,

What type of dancing??? What type of atmosphere (hip hop music/rap/reggae with beer and young folks jumping around 🙂 Or mellow music more romantic setting or live band???

In any case head to Red Hook for the first part, bar hop from Epernay for drinks - some bar, then walk over to Duffys for fun drinks and some dancing - some place, lots of fun, during the summer often has lots of young people - college kids and visitors - everybody really, then across the street to the various spots in American Yacht Harbor area.

For a more mellow place romantic place - I would say one of the resorts - Frenchmans Reef's one bar/dance area is nice. Sugar Bay had a great bar with dancing - local bads usually played however it was a big local hangout and the resort stopped having it for a little while - best bet would be to call the front desk and see if they have the band playing. Sapphire has a band too - often Sunday afternoons, they used to have things on Friday and Saturday night - but it really depends on season so again call ahead to check.

For other areas - you can try Paradise Point Tramway happy hour - thats fun, nice drinks, relaxing. Havensight has several bars, Charlotte Amalie also and Frenchtown.

You aren't going to find many of what you asked for.

Greenhouse plays a good selection of a mixture of some rock and roll, oldies, new stuff - everything. Two for Tuesdays is the big night - if you go during summer it gets really busy with college kids home on vacation.

Epernay upstairs is fun for a mixture of more upbeat recent hits.

Try Paradise Point during Happy Hour for drinks and view and then head to one of the the bars in Havensight or out to Frenchmans Reef Resort for dancing or Coco Joes which is at Moringstar right below Frenchmans.
