What kind of nightlife can I expect to find in St. Thomas. There are four of us in our party (2 early twenties couples) and we are hoping to find some live reggae music, etc.

We will be arriving on Sunday, January 15th and leaving Saturday, January 21st. How are Sunday-Friday evenings? Monday is a Holiday, does that mean things will slow down?

How late are the bars open in St. Thomas?

Thanks for all your help everybody!

Also, as a follow up to my previous post... Are there any must visit happy hours or bars with good drink specials? Are there good bars that can be found on any of the beaches?

What is the best beach for lounging with a nice island drink during the day?

STT Wednesday nights at Iggy's at Bolongo, Sunday afternoon party at Saphire beach, Coki Beach. Woody's and JJ Texas Coast Cafe on STJ (woodysseafood.com) and so many more! Do yourself a favor and read as many pages from this site as possible and visit the links that interest you then ask away! PS Don't forget to try the Conch Fritters and other great things to eat and drink.

Hello John,

Nightlife is dinner out, a few drinks at the bar, bar hopping; some bars have djs others have live music on particular nights, happy hour at some spots. The bars are smaller type places.

You can catch a live local band on Sunday afternoon at Sapphire Beach. Greenhouse has a band a couple nights a week, you can check their website for details. http://www.thegreenhouserestaurant.com/greenhousestt/. They have a good Happy hour on Tuesday nights. Another good happy hour is at Paradise Point http://www.stthomasskyride.com. Several of the restaurants have happy hour with drink and often food specials. Inner Visions, a reggae band from St. John performs at different bars between St. Thomas and St. John, you can check the schedule at http://www.mokojumbi.com/InnerVisionsTourSchedule.html.

You can grab a St. Thomas/St. John this Week magazine from the baggage claim area at the airport when you get it - you'll find some information in there on what’s going on for the month. Try and get an Island Trader also (comes out on Thursdays) and is available at grocery stores etc., its a free paper. It will have some information on what’s coming up that weekend and week. The hotel front desk might have one/some.

Nice lounging with a drink beach, hmmm Sapphire, Secret Harbor, Bolongo, Morningstar, Emerald etc. ... all those that have bars on them ;).
