I am in the same situation as Maria........but in St Thomas. We will be there 12/28 thru1/4. There are 5 couples of varying ages...27 thru 60! I would like to plan something fun to do as well. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello Tresa,

Restaurants and resorts usually have special New Years dinners... some with music and party favors. Is that the sort of thing you are looking for? Usually in the month of December the resorts/restaurants put ads out annoucing what they are doing so reservations can be made.

I was hoping to do something a little more original....not sure what though, so that doesn't help much when I'm looking for suggestions! 🙁

I had considered looking for an evening cruise of some sort.

How may I access the "planned celebrations"? I imagine they will start the announcements around Thanksgiving.

Thanks for your help!

Tresa

Hello,

The planned dinners/parties are usually advertised in the Newspaper in late November and through December.

If I were you I would try to get over to Jost Van Dyke for the huge New Year's Celebration at Foxy's....well, it's actually the entire beach at Great Harbour, not just Foxy's. This is a HUGE party with nearly 7,000 revelers last year...and this is on an island with about 120 permanent residents! I've been for the last 6 years, and it is always a hoot. The youngest in the group will enjoy it for the liveley atmosphere and the oldest will enjoy it for it's uniqueness. They can just find a nice spot to sit and watch all of the festivities. Great fun for everyone!
