My boyfriend and I are going to be in St. Thomas for New Year's eve before getting on our cruise on the 1st of January. Can anyone recommend fun things to do for the big night on the island?

Hello,

The biggest party is on Jost in the BVI. You go over by ferry. Now it can be a long night and if you miss the ferry coming back at 1 or 2 am... depending on what time on the 1st you have to check onto your cruise you can consider this option. On St. Thomas several bars have New Year's Eve Parties. Most restaurants and resort restaruants have special dinners - some with party favors and music. The local paper prints the various parties/dinners during the month of December.

We are moving to STT on December 31st...we will probably be too tired to do anything but thought it would be fun to find a beach bar with a good local band (caribbean music) to start our new life out dancing:) Any suggestions?? We are staying at the Villa Fairview in Charlotte Amalie.

Thanks!

Laura

Hello Amos,

We usually post the Jost New Year's Eve Special Ferry schedule on the message board when we get it, so you can check here or call the BVI Ferry operators yourself around mid-December and get it. (The ferry names/telephone numbers can be found by clicking on Ferry Schedules at the very top of this page.)
