i was wondering if anybody knew of any cool celebrations happening on St. Thomas for New Years Eve? We don't necessarily want to stay at the resort (Frenchman's reef).

Check the local newspaper - Daily News and Island Trader. There are quite a few things going on. A big tradition is to go to Jost Van Dyke via ferry or water taxi out of Red Hook for the night. Fish Tails is the departure point and the trip is $110 per person to Jost. Many other choices are out there.
