My wife and I are visiting STT beginning Jan 17. We have never been before. We can't wait. Staying at the Elysian Beach. 40's couple from Maryland. (Living in the Washington DC burbs, we will miss the inauguration, thankfully).

Would love to meet some regulars to learn the "ropes".

You will quickly find Robert's and Ainsley's for wonderful food and piano bar entertainment right on the property. Look for Latitude 18 with the Fiddler entertaining Thurs through Sat (I think)- great fun!! The weather will be much better than D.C., I promise. 🙂

Thanks for the info. Have read only good things about both. Forgot to mention that my sister and her husband are traveling with us and she insists we go to Latitude 18 LOL. We are also doing a day cruise aboard "Highpockets". Should be quite a day.

Hit Blue Moon Cafe at Secret Harbor for a relaxing meal while you're enjoying the view and then if you're up for it you can go to Aqua Action for snorkel gear (nice place to watch the fish and little of no boat traffic) or even take a dive class or two to get certified if you're adventurous.

I would love to hear about your sail on Highpockets. We are going to be in St. John and St. Thomas in June and are planning a day sail with them. Have a great time on your first visit to USVI. You are smart getting away from the crowds when you are. We also live in MD, thankfully, not so close to the DC suburbs.

No Bank of America in the Virgin Islands, however, your ATM card may still have the ability to access your funds thru the various networks...what symbols do you have on the back of your ATM card? If you let us know, we can tell you at which banks they will work here.

When in the Caribbean and there is no Bank of America we have used Scotia Bank and there is no fee for ATM use. We did this in St. Lucia and St. Maarten. I would suggest calling Bank of America and check to verify before leaving. Have a great time!!!

Interlink. plus, and star. I know my card will work at other ATM's, I just like to avoid the fees when I can. We are bringing traveler's checks, so it shouldn't be a requirement to hit a bank. I just kinda figured there might be a Bof A because they are EVERYWHERE.

Thanks,
Allen
