My wife and I are locals here on St Thomas for 5 years and would love to help people traveling to St Thomas to have a great time. We would love to give suggestions on beaches, boats, and places to dine. Have a great time planning your trip.

No need to announce it, just do it! We have contributors on here who've been residents for anywhere from a few months to 40+ years as well as many visitors, all of whom share their experiences and knowledge. Cheers!
GREAT!!
MY WIFE AND I ARE GOING TO BE THERE FROM THE 9TH - 16TH OF DECEMBER.. ALL THE HELP YOU CAN GIVE IS APPRECIATED

Hi there,
So nice to have local help! Personally, I appreciate the time and effort you put in from your daily activities.
Anyway, traveling solo for the first half of my trip, so any suggestions until my partner arrives would be great! Feb 11 - 18.
Sugar Bay resort. It's all inclusive, which I understand is a bit unnecesary, but they do offer free unmotorized water sports and tours available fo discounted fees.
What I'm really looking for is any tips on taxi service, local places, things I should know, etc. My key focus is RELAX and see as much as possible without stressing. I'm a nature enthusiast, so anything in that area - walks, tours, must see's would be greatly appreciated.
Perhaps the local arts program? I'm a jazz musician, so any local arts would be great as well.
Have you read through all the info available right here on this site? If you go to the top bar and scroll down on the St Thomas link you'll find a bunch of information (including taxi rates) while the "Quick Links" top right will provide even more!
There are some great hiking trails on St John (you're only a short drive from the Red Hook inter-island ferry terminal) with the most notable being the Reef Bay and the Rams Head trails, while Magens Bay on St Thomas also boasts a beautiful one. Music is all over the island and the best way to find out what's going on is to pick up a copy of the free weekly advertising paper, "Island Trader" which comes out every Thursday and can be found at most supermarkets and stores.
To get around easily I'd really suggest renting a vehicle for at least part of your visit. Taxis charge per person, the fares add up very quickly and particularly in light of your "exploring" nature, you'd have a much easier time getting around under your own steam and enjoying the more remote areas which would appeal to you.
That should get you started off, anyway!
