In 2006 down on the waterfront in Christensted they were building a new hotel on the boardwalk. It was near the Brewery Bar. Does anyone know the name of it and if it is finished?

I believe you are thinking of the Sea Island Hotel, where the King's Alley Hotel used to be. AND my spies tell me it has been open since the Christmas season.
