Northwest will begin flying direct from Detroit (DTW) to St Thomas beginning January 3, 2007. Unfortunately, the flights are Saturdays only and will end on April 30. Too bad for us, our trip is scheduled to begin May 5, but others of you may be able to get better flights.

I spoke with Northwest this morning after reading about the new flight in a Caribbean advertising section of today's New York Times. I don't think they've starting sales yet, but will be doing so soon.
