We just found a new coffee bar on STT.......Picaso's Coffee Bar....on Smith Bay (Road) East End......located just between the old Renaissance and Point Pleasant Resort. The couple that owns the place is from near our home town (Point Pleasant, NJ).
The coffee is great and so are the pastries and quiche......plus they have a full bar....slot machines....Bud Lights are $1.25 all day....and they're open for Super Bowl Sunday........
Stop in and tell them that the Future Islander sent you.

They are great....been there a few times and highly recommend for those traveling to East End......it is a nice stop!
FI: We will be returning to our favorite place on earth in a few weeks - STT. We always stay on the East End - just love it there. Anyway, we will be sure to stop by the new coffee bar and have a cup of Jo and a snack.

My boyfriend and I work in Red Hook, and we enjoy Picaso's coffee bar drinks kicked up (with alchol) on our way home from work and our days off on the way to the beach!!
OK all you lovers of the great life on our island. . . .try this after a full day of fun in the sun or after work: (For adults only) The night before, put a bottle of your favorite flavor of Cruzan Rum in the Freezer - my favorite is Coconut - run into Red Hook to the New Coffee Bar and get your favorite flavor of coffee - run over to the grocery store and buy your favorite fresh fruit and a little ice cream and get ready to enjoy a really enjoyable drink. When you get home - get your blender out and fill it with your favorite fruit ( like a banana and some pineapple) and a scoop of ice cream - then add a cup of your favorite coffee from the New Coffee Bar - add 2-shots of your best tasten frozen Rum - put the lid on and let it mix. Pour it into a very nice looking frosted glass and sprinkel the top with some fresh ground Nutmeg. Find your favorite place to sit and watch the sunset as you enjoy paradise. 😛

We had breakfast there again this morning....great selection...the only thing missing was enough parking spaces...the place was crowded.
