I have looked through zillions of web pages in the last few weeks! Please help end the madness!

My husband and I are thinking of going to St. John for three weeks this fall. We've never been to the Virgin Islands but we're convinced that St. John has the experience that we're looking for! We're flexible on location and we're looking to spend under $2000 a week. We both burn very easily so we're looking for a place that either has a large covered porch or a living room (with a great view) that has lots of large windows/doors that we can open so that we can feel like we're outside, even if we have to be inside. We like lounging around and reading so comfy furniture is a must. Since we'll be there in the fall, is air conditioning a must? We'll be coming from Texas so we're used to the heat. I would also love a hot tub. Though I doubt we'll be in it during the day, an evening in a hot tub watching another day come to a close sounds delightful.

Can you help?

Thanks!

I'd like to recommend Villa Margherita, in the coral bay area. I'm biased, because we built it, but because my wife is a red head, and always having things burned off, and I also have a history of skin cancer, we built the house with care to include covered areas where you can enjoy the outdoors, but remain relatively safe from the sun. Outdoor areas include two tiled covered patios. The upper one has a beautiful down Island view of Sir Frances Drake channel and the BVIs. There are two large trellis, both now covered with masses of flowers, that also provide shade. The hot tub, which is in direct sun during mid day, is shaded in the afternoon, and is the perfect place to admire the stars at night. Check out www.stjohnvilla.com. I also put UV blocking glass in the livingroom windows, for what that's worth.

Larry.
