We are a family of 5 coming to st thomas from puerto rico next week. we found small planes out of fajardo for $69.50 per person one way but no discount for kids. the only ferry we could find only makes the trip twice a month and even cost more.
anyone know a cheaper way?
thanks, gary
check out Caribbean Sun Airlines at www.flysca.com. Also check airfare search aggregators like qixo.com or kayak.com
Unfortunately, there is no cheaper way than $69.50
thanks for the info. we would not mind hitching a ride on a private yacht and paying fuel and expenses . i know people do this alot around the islands and boats come and go every day but getting in touch with them is the trick.
well, we`ll be here a few more days if anyone hears of anything.
thanks
Gary: Puerto Rico is a very rough 60 plus miles away. Not a great deal of private traffic between the two, unless it is a Puerto Rican holiday weekend! Flying is the best option... Did you check out Seaborne Airlines? The seaplane is a fun way to see the area.
(Most of the boats that you hear about coming and going on a daily basis are around St Thomas, St John and the BVI. And even there, a private, non-commercial boat is not likely to sell someone a ride because of Homeland Security and Coast Guard regulations.)
hey everyone, thanks for all the tips. got our flight booked for wed am around 8:30 arrival.
maybe we`ll bump into some of you later. it`s a small island.
thanks again, gary
