Hello all...
We are planning our annual Thanksgiving trip to St. John for 2006. Unfortunately, we aren't coming this year because we were just married in St. John in May. We figured the budget probably can't handle two trips in one year. We are not dealing with it very well, so have begun planning for next year to keep our hopes up!

Which leads to my question. Next year, we are going to have quite a large group coming. Can anyone recommend a nice 4+ bedroom villa in St. John? We are open to all locations, but would probably not want the Coral Bay side, mostly due to convenience. We will need 4 or 5 bedrooms. I like to be closer to the water (not beachfront) rather than real high - but its not that big of a deal. Again, we are open to any suggestions. We would probably have to skip the extremely nice villas that run $15,000-$20,000 a week (I wish we could stay at one)!

Thanks in advance for your help. THANKSGIVING 2006!!!

What's your budget? Do you only need 4 bedrooms or do you need 5? All adults?

I would definitely recommend Blue Rock. I think we rented through Caribbeanvilla.com. It has 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, great decks, a big pool and jacuzzi. We stayed there a few years ago and it was fabulous, as good as it looks in the photos (better actually). It overlooks Cruz Bay but it up behind the town so you need to rent vehicles.

One of the nicest 4 bedroom houses I've ever stayed in is Island Sun on STJ. Agent - Catered To. It's up in Catherineberg (above Cinnamon Bay) with unbelieveably fabulous views of the north shore and the BVI.

We stayed in Cocotier in Virgin Grand Estates last year. 4 bedroom and, I believe 4 baths. There were 4 adult couples and a 6 month old baby. A/C, pool, hottub, views of St Thomas, amazing rainbows after every shower, sunsets, hummingbirds, lizards. Take a look at it here....

We did have some bugs in morning and evening but we're from New England and used to it. We used the pool a lot as it is centrally located on the main deck. The hottub never really got hot but only one person was interested in using it and it didn't break his heart. There was construction as this is a new development but it didn't bother us cuz we were out all day.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to check them out right now. Regarding the 4 or 5 bedroom, we aren't EXACTLY sure who all will be going yet...one couple is on the fence. I do know for sure we will have 4 couples (possibly 5) and one infant. Regarding price, we wanted to keep it reasonable per couple for the week...probably under $1500 per couple for the week.

We always do rent a car when we visit, so that is not an issue either.

Thanks again for your suggestions!

Go to http://www.caribbeandays.com/stjohn for a list of 4, 5, and 6 bedroom villas on STJ. There are some great one's listed there. It's a good place to start your search. You will easily find something at your price point.
