Planning at trip to St Thomas later this year, and I am in need of some advice on choosing a place to stay. We would like to stay away from the large high-rise hotels - prefer something a little smaller but still with the amenities of a beach, restaurant, watersports etc. I like the look of Pint Pleasant, Secret Harbour, and Renaissance, but wanted to get some more opinions before I decide. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

Luv to have you check out our small Inn, The Danish Chalet Inn here on St.Thomas. Just go to our web page at: www.danishchaletinn.com/ for lots of good info on the islands, our Inn and in the LINKS pages are some excellent sightseeing spots. Thanks, and hope to have the pleasure of hosting you later this year. Frank & Mary

Lucky you, going to St. Thomas. Check out my discussion on 2/20/02 regarding Bolongo Bay. It was perfect for us, not necessarily for everyone. It is definitely older, smaller and beach front water (rocky) but very quite and relaxing. Has a great sailboat docked there and we enjoyed that very much. It is away from the maddening crowd, but just close enough to get there. Hope you find something for YOU.

Danish Chalet is up in town and we found it to be very noisey at night. WE had some other issues too, which I won't go into at this point. We only stayed two nights and then moved down to something closer to the water. We were so glad we did. We used to stay at Admiral's Inn, but I understand that is now closed. How unfortunate. It was a perfect location - close enough to walk into town, yet far enough away as to be peaceful and very nice. We're searching for something similar for our next visit.
