We want to make yet another return trip to STJ next August and would love to stay on the N Shore side or at least something w a view of BVI's or STT but still closer to Cruz Bay. My youngest, age 3, gets extremely car-sick on the roads to Coral Bay(as we found out this past August with just a day trip to Coral:-) so Coral area is out of the question). Being from the fully air-conditioned state of Texas, we can't do without ac in at least the bedrooms and our budget is around $3-4k for a 3+ bedroom. I plan on contacting Destination St John, Carefree Getaways and VIVA but thought I'd post to get more personal insights and recommendations. Thanks!
I've stayed at many of the villas in Catherineberg. None of them with AC. The only one up there that I know has air is Great Escape but that may be out of your budget. (Destination St. John) Same problem (high rates) with Peter Bay houses. Another problem is the bedroom arrangements on these houses may not be very small child friendly.
