To all those future brides out there - thought this would be helpful for you:

Planning a wedding from Boston in St. John USVI, along with searching for the perfect photographer was the hardest task of all of them. We had done a tremendous amount of research and found the gem of all stones with Alain Brinn and Bluegrass Photography.

His website is what initially blew us away. Coming from a family of 9, I (bride) had had my share of experience with wedding photographers. Bluegrass Photography's website was too good to be true. I contacted several brides who had worked with Alain and knew right away that his services were the one we wanted and needed. I was very nervous at the church waiting for Alain to arrive. He was better than on time and the fears and nerves were gone when I saw him. He not only greeted me like family but treated my husband, wedding party and myself like we had known each other for a very long time. When I received the pictures (less than 3 weeks post wedding), our jaws dropped. The brilliance and talent Alain provided with our pictures was amazing. He captured not only our happiness but every intimate detail of all we had envisioned for months surrounding the ceremony and post wedding pictures. I thank Alain and would only recommend his services out of all those we researched. Our experience with him was worth every second of worry. He is truly the best.

LOL????????? The couple who wrote the review on Blue Glass Photography were Nancy Bauer & Christopher Lively. They were married on May 22nd on St. John at the Catholic Church and had some additional photos taken at Caneel Bay. Anita's comments seem to suggest that the couple's review is not authentic and perhaps even fabricated. Sorry to disappoint you Anita (or whoever you are), but we are Not or Ever will be in such dire need for attention or self worship. Perhaps you can find just a tiny bit of professionalism in you and make an effort to contact my studio so that we can arrange a personal phone interview with Nancy & Chris. In the meantime, I suggest that you take some advice from Scott Nearing's quote; the quote that you so ironically promote on your blog ........and simply BE KIND!

Alain, I read nothing but kindness and agreement with the original poster in Anita's posting. I did not see, as you did, that she was accusing you of self-promotion with a phony post praising your work. Rather, I believe she was saying that she knew right away, because of the praise, that it had to be you to whom the original post was referring. I felt that she was adding additional praise for you and your work. The fact that she provided a link for your website provides me with further evidence of her intentions. I could be wrong, but so could you. Everything I've ever seen of Anita on this board has always been said with kindness and thoughtfulness, even if in disagreement with someone, and never mean spirited.

I also read nothing but the best into Anita's post. Why would you assume wrong motives?

I am a wedding planner on St John and have worked for 8 yrs with Blueglass - they are always my first choice for photographers- Alain and Soolan Brin always make the couple feel very special and relaxed. I choose them not only because of their wonderful talent, but as a wedding planner for their consistency and reliability as well- You cannot go wrong in choosing Blueglass.

I have to gracefully apologize to Anita. I completely & embarrassingly misinterpreted her blog. The word "bully" has always been that one uncanny word that I have found to be provocative since my early years in grade school; so my reaction was abruptly off the wall. Little did I know that the word bully also has a positive connotation. Thanks for the education. Please accept my apology Anita for this silly misunderstanding and Thank You for supporting Blue Glass Photography and our beautiful Virgin Islands.
