Hi everyone...just got back fro our stay at Secret Harbour and TOTALLY loved every minute of it!!!!! Thankfully we didn't listen to some of the bad reviews...cuz we have nothing to complain about! We stayed in a one bdrm oceanfront suite(only way to go!).Yes the rooms do need a little upgrading but...come on just open your sliders to your deck and see what's really important! The staff was so nice ..loved Bobby the bartender and Julie the manager...all the waitstaff were so friendly. Going in the off season is the best..no crowds...very peaceful...but VERY HUMID!!! will definetly visit again.......mary

Mary,
We are planning a trip in September and Secret Harbour is on our short list.
What else can you tell us about the place?
Good beach?
View from deck?
Rates?
How did you book the room?
This will be our second visit to St. Thomas, but the first was part of a day on a cruise ship stop.
Thanks for anything you can tell us.
Fred

Hi fred.....Glad to tell you anything you want to know. The beach is really great if you like to snorkel.......so many people were doing it everyday! I liked the beach...lots of shade and so peaceful. We had the highest floor(3rd)..so our view was nice....a small harbour..with some nice boats moored there. Our rate was 219.00 a night with the 6th night free...it was a steal for what we had! we booked it online off their website. It's on the east end of the island real close to Red Hook whee you would get the St. John ferry and it has alot of nice restaurants and fun bars! Secret Harbour is on the smaller sidethan most resorts but you can easily visit other places to get the Big experience of greater hotels...we really had a nice time. good luck

Mary I live across the bay from Secret Harbor, and as a photographer, many of the shots on my website are of this immediate area. Perhaps some of them will be shots that will bring back images to go with the fond memories you have of your visit.

In the Panorama Gallery for instance you'll find a shot of Secret Harbor taken from my side of the bay.

In the Sky Gallery the sunrise titled, Sunday Glory Morn, was taken above the island just South of Secret Harbor.

Mary,
Thanks for the recommendation. Schultz sent us a group of his photos from several trips to SH and it all looks good.
SH is on the top of our list for a St. Thomas trip, but we are still thinking about Caneel Bay on St. John. My wife has always wanted to stay there. May just take out a second mortage and see if we can't get a room there for two or three days (LOL).

This is the first time we are staying on St. Thomas and we got a good rate for a beachfront one bedroom at Secret Harbour. Does anyone know if there are certain rooms better than others and is this a good hotel ???
We passed it so many times but hope we are making the right choice...any tips would be appreciated...oh and should we get the top floor or bottom floor...
