Hi everyone,
I'm leaving on Wednesday with my daughter for our first trip to St Croix. So far I have decided to do the following things:
- BUCK ISLAND full day trip with Teroro
- Hike to Isaac's Bay via Point Udall
- Hike to tide pools from Carambola Resort
- Kayak tour at Salt River National Park
- Eat dinner at kendricks
- Snorkel Cane Bay
- Have lunch and shop in Christianstead
- RELAX ON THE BEACH
Are there any GREAT things that I am missing?

The beach at Cane Bay is one of my personal favorites. For great snorkeling I would also try the beaches south of Fredriksted, near Cottages by the Sea or even further south at the public park near Sandy Point. Another good place are the beaches at the Buccaneer. And you can grab lunch at the same time.

Have a wonderful trip but don't wear yourselves out rushing around to "see and do". Mke sure you have lots of time for just sitting on the beach relaxing.

Use common sense when you are in remote areas hiking or swimming. Do NOT leave valuables in your vehicle. We left the windows down and console open in our rental vehicle when we were at remote locations and had no problems.
We went where we wanted when we wanted on a two week trip to STX last summer and stayed out of questionable areas at night. We had a great time.

Other fun ideas:

-beer drinking pigs (served non-alcoholic beer)
-watch sunrise at Point Udall
-watch sunset/eat at the Sun Set Grill (good snorkeling in that area)
-eat lunch at Les San Tropez
-tour Cruzan factory

Visit Whim Great House.

Eat a "roti" from a roadside vendor.

Drive through the rainforest.

Thanks for all the responses and ideas. A question for the St Croix locals or anyone in St Croix right now- Is the water and snorkeling as good as usual, or has Hurricane Dean negatively affected it?

Well, if you're traveling today you may not see my answer. Some beaches may still be stirred up by Dean. I would try one and see how it is. If the water is cloudy, pick another beach on the OTHER side of the island. Chances are not all the beaches will be affected.

I too, have been to STX several times as we have a friend who lives there and we go over from STT to help him with the construction of his house.

I suggest going to the East End furthest point, known as the Eastern, most Southern tip of the US! There is a very nice monument there! Margyz goes for a certain event, wine tasting, something, something? Margy? She is a regular there.
I realize the person whom started this thread is actually here at this very moment, but I am sure there are others whom would like to have their question answered in a positive manner.
