Best advice is to pick up a copy of the free weekly advertising paper, "Island Trader" (available in most stores and supermarkets every Thursday or online via a link at www.virginislandsdailynews.com. It carries up to date information on the bar/music scene. You can also pick up a copy of, "St Thomas This Week" at the airport and around town.

Its been a long seven years since we have been to the USVI (actually we have not gone anywhere in seven years). During our other visits, we always stayed on St. Thomas. I would think that there would be some good venues to see live music in Red Hook. This time we will be staying on St. John so I am looking for some good venues there.

One of my favorite music experiences was when we visited Sapphire Beach for the day. There was a live band playing caribbean music (steel drums). Really cool and perfect for the setting. Not sure if there is live music during the day at Sapphire Beach (apparently a lot of changes going on there).

Nice to hear from another music lover! 😎

"Sapphire Sunday" is no more and hasn't been for several years but there are always mumblings and rumblings that it may one day return!
