I am reading the settlers handbook and volumes of blogs of those who have made the move. My plan is to fly down in the spring and make connections, meetings and take some time to get to know the area. Then, as of now move before Christmas 2010.
I will move down with 25k with plans on renting long term. I will have my suv shipped there (an all US automobile). What I do ship I will ship USPS, I am bring my dog with me too.
I am 40, never been married and no kids. This is my dream. For 2 decades I thought when I have made it and can be happy it will be when I am in UVI. Long story short, why cant I go now and do it now? With the beginning research and info. I have gathered I am getting pretty excited.
My plan is to offer services more or less social services area. I will get in with the schools and talk to a few political offices about their perspective. Here in Co. Springs in 4 short years I made a pretty good living and very good reputation.
When down there in the spring I have read in lots of places that getting to know the head doctor main ins. person, the higher profile more successful people who have connections.
If anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate your time and input.
Thank you, Happy New Year,
Chris
