My husband and I are moving to STJ in June. Flights are booked and we have a place to stay for the first week and half while on the island. Our hope is to find a place to rent long term (6-12mo lease) within that time frame- if not, we will just have to extend our stay either by hotel/inn etc. until we find a place. What's the best way to find housing? I've been keeping an eye on craigslist. Small efficiency is what we have in mind. Nothing fancy!

Also connections in town has a bulletin board. I asked on fb page for someone to take a picture and message me bulletin boards, people on island did.

Bad plan. There are almost zero long term rentals available on STJ. Most have been scooped up and put on AirBnB as vacation rentals. Come down for two weeks, go straight to connections and call every number on the board. You need to find a place before moving your world.
