Good-day virgin islanders, We are staying in maho bay and we have an early flight before the ferry starts, so we plan to stay in St Thomas the night before departure, we were wanting to know if there are any "inexpensive" simple motel/hotels for one night near the ferry or airport! Nothing fancy, just something simple, pratical & inexpensive for our last night on our weddingmoon!! thanks
The two hotels closest to the airport (and to the downtown ferry) are Emerald Beach Resort (emeraldbeach.com) and Carib Beach Resort (caribbeachresort.com) which are on the same beach and under the Best Western umbrella.
Check them both out - either one should suit your purpose just fine. Inexpensive? Compared to Maho, probably not. But they're your best bets being right on the beach and close to the airport so you can spend your last night in comfort with a last walk along the beach under the stars and being able to get a good night's sleep (or whatever...)

www.galleonhouse.com cheap hotel in town, safe and quiet. Or Island View Guesthouse. Either one of those is under $100 a night.
